First US telephone campaign
Alumni will soon receive a call from a current student to request a contribution to University of Liverpool in America Inc, as part of the institution’s first telephone campaign in the US.
Your gifts to the Foundation, no matter what size, will make a big difference. They will help the University to enhance the student experience, improve research excellence and fulfil its vision for the future.
The Foundation can support the University and its activities at a time when higher education funding is under ever greater pressure. In the current financial climate and with the UK Government’s matched funding scheme coming to an end next July, we hope you agree there has never been a better or more important opportunity to give.
Grants from the Foundation to the University received before 31 July 2011 are eligible for matched funding by a ratio of 3:1, so your donation could ultimately be boosted by a third. Please help the Foundation to take advantage of this opportunity.
Your contribution will have a direct benefit to today’s students. Recent examples of grants made to the University thanks to the generosity of alumni include £61,200 to the School of Engineering for a high-speed wind tunnel, £30,000 to facilitate the opening of an International Student Centre, £59,000 to the library to pay e-journal publishers’ fees, and £20,000 to the Department of Physics for a gamma ray detector.
Alumni will receive notification via letter or email that a student is going to call. If you are not contacted and would like to be included, please get in touch with the University using the details below.
Also, please ensure that the University has your updated telephone details.
