University of Liverpool in America Inc. progress update
Since its launch in March 2010, University of Liverpool in America Inc., an independent not-for-profit organisation in the US, has secured gifts of $61,000 and further confirmed pledges of $70,000.
The Board of Directors discussed the progress of the Foundation and the setting of future fundraising targets during a recent teleconference. Grant applications will be made to the Board next year, with funds subsequently distributed to those projects which best support the fundraising priorities of Research Excellence and Enhancing the Student Experience.
As well as helping more than 1,000 alumni to maintain a close connection with the institution, University of Liverpool in America Inc. enables alumni, supporters and advocates to make tax-deductible donations to benefit the institution and its students under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Reference number 27-1161026). The Foundation is also qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code.
