Foundation delegation exploring philanthropy at Oregon
A delegation representing the University’s US Foundation, University of Liverpool in America Inc., will visit Oregon in September for a week-long fact-finding mission into higher education philanthropy.
The party, which will include members of University staff and directors of University of Liverpool in America Inc., will spend time at the University of Oregon, where Paul Elstone (BA Economic History 1990) is Senior Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations.
The itinerary also includes the inaugural alumni reunion for graduates living in San Francisco and the Foundation’s second Annual General Meeting.
Since its launch in March 2010, $71,229 has been raised by the Foundation and plans to build on this success are expected to be finalised at the AGM.
Thanks to the generosity of alumni in the US, the Foundation makes grants to the University which positively benefit current and future generations of students by enhancing their experience of studying at Liverpool and improving resources and facilities across campus.
