Inaugural alumni reunion held in San Francisco
Alumni in northern California joined members of staff from the University’s Alumni Relations team for the inaugural reunion evening in San Francisco.
Karen Brady, Head of Alumni Relations and Dr Lisa Hannah-Stewart, Annual Giving Manager, were delighted to meet graduates from across the Bay area during the first alumni event to be held in San Francisco.
The event was co-ordinated with the support of Alumni Ambassador, Dr Simon Waddington (BSc Physics 1985, PhD 1988), who took the opportunity to meet fellow graduates and discuss how the alumni network in the area should develop. The possibility of a future event in San Jose and a possible alumni cricket match against graduates of other UK universities were among the ideas debated.
On the east coast of the US, meanwhile, Taryn Rock, Director of Corporate Communications, hosted a dinner for alumni in Washington DC, the first event in the capital, and a drinks evening with Alumni Ambassador Tina Evans (MBA 2008) in New York.
