Foundation fact-finding visit to Oregon
A delegation of staff representing the University’s US Foundation has returned from a fact-finding mission to Oregon in which they explored philanthropy in higher education.
Members of University staff and directors of University of Liverpool in America Inc. were invited to spend time at the University of Oregon, where Foundation board member Paul Elstone (BA Economic History 1990) is Senior Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations.
During the visit, the team met with representatives of Oregon’s alumni and development teams at their Alumni Center and enjoyed a tour of the DuckCall Center, the venue from which the university operates its telephone campaigns.
The members of the Liverpool party were also special guests at the weekend’s football game, in which the Oregon Ducks defeated Missouri State 56-7.
The visit was organised to coincide with University of Liverpool in America Inc’s second Annual General Meeting and the inaugural alumni event in San Francisco, California.
