Professor awarded American Chemical Society Fellowship
Professor Andrew Evans from the University’s Department of Chemistry has been selected as a Fellow of the American Chemical Society for his outstanding achievements and contributions to science.
Founded in 1876, the American Chemical Society is the world’s largest scientific society with 161,000 members in all fields of chemistry and its Fellows programme was created to recognise outstanding contributions to the profession.
Professor Evans, who is Heath Harrison Chair of Organic Chemistry at the University, has published more than 100 papers, articles, reviews and monographs and has presented nearly 400 plenary and invited lectures at international conferences, symposia, universities, research institutes and companies.
The ACS Fellows were honoured at a special ceremony during the ACS National Meeting in Denver.
