Liverpool-Georgia links go from strength-to-strength
The University is helping to develop an integrated partnership of education, business and culture between the city of Liverpool and Georgia.
A delegation including senior staff from the University and representatives from the city region visited Georgia to pave the way for stronger links between the institution and a cluster of universities in the state, as well as the possibility of collaborations in culture and trade.
The University currently has strong relationships with University of Georgia, Athens (UGA), as well as Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University’s Centre for Disease Control and the University of Washington in St Louis.
In parallel with efforts to strengthen these links, a network of relationships including science parks and innovation centres has been facilitated by the University which could support inter-regional collaboration in respect of city and cultural links for Liverpool City Council, trade opportunities for Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, and inward investment through The Mersey Partnership.
We will keep US alumni updated as our links with Georgia continue to develop.
