Appeal for Equine Welfare
The University of Liverpool’s expertise in equine teaching and research already benefits equine welfare the world over but this appeal builds on its expertise in this field.
Leahurst, the site of the University’s Veterinary Faculty Clinical Campus, is home to one of the busiest and most successful equine hospitals in the country with an average of 150 horses treated per month.
The appeal will allow the creation of a Centre for Equine Colic Prevention and a Centre for Equine Performance at the Leahurst site, thus expanding the capabilities of its first opinion and referral services and enhancing it as a premier educational facility for equine health at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
