Dr Brian Jones (BEng (Hons.) Mechanical Engineering 1961, PhD 1965)

Dr Brian Jones obtained a BEng (1st Cl. Hons) in 1961 and PhD in 1964, both in Mechanical Engineering, and also served as an Assistant Lecturer at the University for 18 months prior to moving to the US.
His career since then has been almost exclusively in the aerospace industry – he is currently Executive Vice President of BAE Systems Composite Structures Incorporated, the predecessor company of which he started over 30 years ago. Brian lives in San Gabriel with his wife Debbie and daughter Rebecca.
Since becoming Alumni Ambassador in 2008, Brian has hosted and co-ordinated a number of events for alumni, and in 2010, he became a Director of University of Liverpool in America Inc.
